COVID-19 Update 2nd June 2020

Dear Church family,

On behalf of the Eldership,

We are writing to update you about how the easing of restrictions on June 1st will affect our church.

You can get more information here: https://www.covid-19.sa.gov.au/recovery

SUNDAY SERVICES

In light of the latest easing of restrictions, the Eldership was hopeful that we may have been able to recommence Sunday services in a limited format.

Unfortunately, although there has been an increase in groups size, up to 20 per room and maximum of 80, other restrictions will constrain us from worshiping together.

Among other things, this includes a restriction on congregational singing, that make the practical application of a service difficult.

We are hopeful that further restrictions in the near future will enable us to recommence Sundays. In the meantime, as you know, you can go to our website and join the services online (anytime)

It is disappointing that we cannot come together as a body yet, however, the easing of restrictions does enable other ways to fellowship.

FELLOWSHIP

We have a number of existing small groups, that are either already meeting (via zoom) or will recommence meeting in person (for those comfortable to do so)

These include:

  • Gary and Heather Webb’s Home Fellowship – recommencing in July
  • Think Tank –Fortnightly – contact Heather Saunders
  • KYB (meeting at the church) – contact Cynthia Norman
  • Zooffee Chat with the ladies – contact Chioma
  • Monthly Friday Prayer Meeting – First Friday of the Month at 7:30pm

Also, don’t be afraid to take the time to phone or even text someone to just catch up, we are part of a community, not just a group of individuals!

WEBSITE

As well as the Sunday Service, Ps Jeff has a good number of Devotional blogs on the website and Gary has a growing Bible Study series on the Names of God.

Finally, Our prayer is that you be encouraged in what really matters, in the glorious hope that we have in our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ (1 Peter 1:3-9).

Blessings in Christ

From the Church Eldership.

Ps Jeff McGregor, Gary Webb, Richard Saunders and Jason Staben
